Open up on the kitchen of a dilapidated, two-story suburban house. The walls are aged to the point where the floral wallpaper has browned considerably, even peeling in places. The hardwood floors are chipped and scuffed, the linoleum discolored, the metal rusted, and all of the furniture appears slightly threadbare.
There is a door leading down into the basement, and a pair of hallways leading off to the living room and foyer, respectively. A stained counter runs three walls, with a small table and a few chairs sit in the middle of the room.

A cold winter morning in a remote train station on the outskirts of London, around which stands a perimeter of black-suited men, checking people’s passports as they file into the station. Above the entrance to the station hangs a small metal plaque, which bears the inscription “An Aveum est Ceterum a Candela in a Tempastas.”
Around the station mill a huge crowd of parents and their children, from all corners of the globe, chatting, crying, and saying their goodbye’s in their own respective languages.
